Picture Saturday-- I try not to draw Phantom sometimes.

I was told by a good friend of mine, that she's tired of my Phantom stuff.

She's not tired of my art, but she would rather my art, on occasion, not be Phantom.

Pshaw.

I don't wanna!

Phantom is life!!

But you know... I actually managed to art some things that aren't Phantom related. HA! I'm the best blogger in the world, actually taking into consideration what my followers might want!

... but I still drew Phanart because that's how I do.

Right, because I missed Picture Saturday last week (I was doing shopping stuffs with my pal), I have a photo dump. And yes, I'm very into italics tonight, shut up.

Okay! So!

1.) We have the one that I drew because the quote reminded me of Sammi.

2.) The pssshhh, it's too  hard not to draw phantom stuff...

*Cue Treskie going, "NIIIIGHTTIME SHAAAARPENS, HEIGHTENS EACH SENSAAATIOOOOON!"

3.) The character sketch I did for Hannah's character... okay, so I suck at other races. She's supposed to be Chinese.

4.) The one where I was like, "Can you imagine how betrayed she must have felt?"

5.) The one that I did like after 10pm, and I was really tired.

6.) The "Ohmygoodness Raoul is a hot potato." (And yeah, I'm mad at the way the color turned out. He looked better before I colored him in. *Angry Treskie noises*)

7.) The "Oh yeah, not everything Phantom has to be sad..."

8.) The, I JUST FINISHED THE SERIES, AND NO I AM NOT OBSESSED WITH AVATAR, WHAT MAKES YOU SAY THAT?

Soookkkkaaaaaaaa.

9.) Not even that fond of Togh, what can I say, it's easy to draw people I don't care that much about...

10.) Bending is really fun to draaaawwwww.

11.) I have a hard time drawing Zuko, so here's a really rough sketch of Mr. Banished Prince himself.

12.) The first Sokka attempt....

13.) I fanart like a freak when I like stuff. Sue me. *headdesk*

14.) *Covers face in shame*

15.) Just a guy with a boomerang.

16.) Rawr, Zuko, sir. You are a very attractive animated firebender. MHMM.

17.) Not obsessed, not obsessed, not obsessed....

So I finally finished Mary's paper dolls.... Sorry it took so long, Mary! I just need to send them to her. She gets to see them first, but when she does, I will post them on here. I think they look pretty good. *Pats self on back* Skillz.

Anyway, tomorrow I get to watch the Giants play the Cardinals and I'm hoping the Giants win, because YEAH. Baseball: best game in the world.

Okay! Question time!

*Favorite drawing overall?
*Best Phantom?
*Best Avatar?
*Do you think Zuko is a sad potato?
*Do you think it will be a friendly mushroom?

Right, it's late, and I'm getting weirder than normal.

Love y'all!

Picture Saturday-- I contemplate the idea of a graphic novel

First of all, I want to thank everyone who commented on my last post: apparently my thoughts on my blogging skills made me seem somewhat downcast and discouraged.

So thank you all for being supportive!

I'm actually fine, guys. I was just genuinely curious as to why people follow me. But y'all are awesome for responding with such nice things!

Anyway.

No guitarists this week. I know, I'm a horrible person, but there you go. Can't draw it if you don't feel it.  As it is, at the moment... it's like I have no control over what my brain decides to draw. And at the moment, my brain thinks the only thing worth drawing is phantom. So I'm really sorry, but it's mostly Phantom this week. I swear, this stupid phase should be done soon! I'm just-- AGH! You can't really control what inspires you, you know?

Honestly, at this point, I could probably tell the whole Phantom of the Opera story, just through my fanart. Which leads me to the idea of drawing a POTO* graphic novel. It would be so cool! It would be such a giant undertaking. And I have no idea whatsoever how to graphic novel. (Yes, apparently "graphic novel" can be used as a verb, shhhhh.)

*darn you, Cait, and your potato comment

So yeah, I've considered that, and I'm toying with the idea. It'll probably get kicked to the wayside, but at least I thought about it, right?

Sorry if this post is a little rambly, I'm writing it kinda late and my brain is doing this shut down thing, which is very annoying.

I'm also cranky, because some of the pictures didn't scan so well, and I think I'm going to start ripping the pages out of the sketchbook to get better quality, and I hate doing that.

Right, let's get this thing going!

1.) I don't know what it is about Raoul, but that man just makes me all squishy inside. HE IS FABULOUS!

2.) Dude. All I Ask Of You is such a sweet song. *Thud*

^^^ this picture. WHY THE DARK CORNER, PRINTER? WHY?

3.) Remember that picture from last week that I was mad about? Still mad, but I OWNED it.

4.) RANDOM EPONINE INSERTION.

5.) She literally goes from, "lalala life is good" to "Life sucks and oh, by the way, I'm dying." I want to re-do Little Fall of Rain. I did it last year, but I think I do it better now. :)

6.) Aw yiss. I love this song so much,

7.) Random Katara. I basically slapped that one down as a warm up for phantom drawings. Did I get lazy with the water? Yes... yes I did.

8.) Because Christine is such a sad little cupcake, it makes me want to sing Wishing for class and make people cry.

9.) Apparently I was really in to the rooftop scene this week.

10.) Because, even though I'm all about that Raoul, 'bout that Raoul, no Phantom*, that bit where he's creepin' and hears All I Ask of You kind of breaks my heart a little.**

*see what I did there?
**The Phantom is the saddest of all the potatoes. I love him. I just love Raoul more.

11.) And finally, because Raoul is a hot potato.....

Yeah... I need a life.

Okay! I'm going to sign off, because I have to go to Mass in the morning, and I'd like to be awake for that.

*Favorite Phantom picture?
*Favorite Eponine?
*OH OH just randomly pick a favorite overall.
*Tell me I'm not the only one with obsessive problems.

I love you all!

Dull, deadly dull.

You know how some people have these awesome blogs....?

Like, they just always put out quality content, and their blog is enjoyable?

They know their niche, and they're good at what they do, whether they blog about books, or art, or fashion. Or they do reviews of everything they watch, or they write amazing poetry, or they just have this way of wording their posts so that even if what they write about is mundane, it's still beautiful to read?

I don't understand those bloggers.

I am not a good blogger.

I'm one of those spastic bloggers who really has no idea what she's doing, but she really loves blogging, so she just keeps going.

But let's be honest here, not a lot of my posts are quality. Most of my posts border on insane, because I basically sit down and let my brain just spew its thoughts into the post.

I don't have a niche.

I don't have a blog schedule. (You guys are lucky if Picture Saturday is consistent.)

I don't put out a lot of quality.

And I know I don't write well.

I'm just here like:

So thank you people for sticking with me even though I'm a nutcase.

Anyway, here's what's been going on in my life.

1.) I got accosted by a Jehovah's Witness, who, when I informed him that I'm too broke to donate to his college fund, handed me this pamphlet.

What the actual heck?

2.) So apparently this person knew they were going to get flowers, and left the delivery person (me) a note.

3.) Seriously, garden roses are gorgeous. (Ridiculously expensive, but gorgeous.)

5.) Delivering flowers is awesome. Delivering when the view the whole drive is this? I'm luckyyy.

5.) Getting Sammi caught up on a TV show with Bella and Tiny? Yasssss.

6.) Sammi Toink decided that the badminton racket was a guitar and sat there making guitar noises and strumming.

7.) We went to the lake. It's been really chilly here lately, in the autumny way, where the sun is super hot, but the wind is kind of biting, so it was a very chilly swim.

8.) Amy and I went to a thrift store yesterday, and I found practically brand new art set, with Artist Loft colored pencils and charcoal and erasers, all inside a beautiful wooden art box, for a buck fifty, so yeah, no brainer. Totally bought it. Amy found an Original Broadway Cast Phantom of the Opera, two disc set, WITH THE LYRIC PAMPHLET-- for a dollar. And since Amy already owns that, I bought it, and it sort of made my day.

9.) Yeeeep, that about sums it up. I don't do things. lol. In fact, when I'm not working, my life tends to look like this.

And endings are hard.

What have you guys been up to??

Cheers!

Picture Saturday -- Oh no it's starting again.

So the Phantom kick is back in full swing.

And I'm not even sorry.

You can blame Mary, because she commissioned Phantom paper dolls (!!) and I was forced to listen to the musical again.

For research purposes, you see....

Also, we're showing the 25th Anniversary to one of our friends on Monday, and it got me back in the mood.

These paper dolls are supposed to be based on the movie costumes and not on the musical costumes, and this makes it trickier for me, because I know the musical costumes really well, but the movie ones require much research. *Cue Treskie googling pictures, and watching POTO movie clips, and becoming even more set in her opinion that the movie could have been better...*

Anyhoo.

I'm not going to show you guys the paper dolls until they're done, and until Mary's seen them, so... that's why there aren't that many drawings this week.

1.) Here, have some ugly scribbles, because I sat down and my hand went, "NOPE!" (Though I have to admit, I think I captioned the kid at the bottom hilariously.)

2.) Here, have another kiss. I'M SORRY, I'M FEELING SAPPY, OKAY?

3.) Here, have the sketch of Raoul proposing to Christine, because I will ship them all the way to Gallifrey.

4.) Here, have the one I drew for Amy, because... because...

5.) Here, have the finished one from last week. (I can't decide if I should color it in or not, yea or nay?)

6.) Here, have one of Raoul, who has had just about enough of the Phantom's nonsense.

7.) Here, have the one that I'm mad about, because this one was supposed to be a rough draft, but her expressions turned out so well that I need it to not be just the rough draft, which means I have a set of pictures I really love on low quality paper, and I'm MAD.

8.) Here, have Raoul being sad and awesome, and ARGH, I JUST LOVE THAT CHARACTER SO MUCH, I CAN'T EVEN EXPLAIN.

9.) Here, have the Phantom doing the "No no, dark is good, dark is your friend, darkness makes Batman."

Here, have a gif of Zuko being fabulous.

Ugh, it has been a week, guys. I will fill you in probably sometime in the next few days, but yeah. It's been interesting.

And now I will pepper you with questions, because that's how I DO.

Did you groan when I said Phantom? (Because I'm aware that this obsession is bordering on worrisome.)
Favorite drawing this week?
Should I do more guitarists?
Do you know the Muffin Man?

Okay, I'm done now, Treskie out.
